My entire life has revolved around sports. As a child, I played baseball, football and basketball year-round. During high school, I picked up the game of golf as well. I have been fortunate enough to merge my passion with my career, always pursuing the dream to be a sports journalist. Over the last three years, I have spent time covering a number of teams at the University of Oregon, including a Final 4-bound men's basketball team and a consistently successful football team. I also have had the pleasure of covering a number of track meets at Hayward Field, allowing me to delve into the freelance reporting world. My career is still young, but I can confidently say that I have staked out my spot in the sports journalism landscape.

I believe in the concept of over-performing. I believe anyone can achieve their goals in life if they over-perform. That just means you have to work ten times harder than anybody you see.

You don’t lead by pointing and telling people where to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case.
